The Fifth Annual Sounds of Freedom Car Show "BLOOD, SWEAT and GEARS" is here again. Being held on June 11th, 2016 at the Layton Commons Park in Layton, Utah and organized by L.T. Weese and his dedicated group, this year's show is destined to be bigger than ever. Surpassing the enormous showing of 435 vehicles last year, this year there will be over 500 incredible classic cars, trucks, hot rods and motorcycles will be on display, along with military vehicles and equipment.

This astonishing free car show is held every year to recognize our men and women in uniform, our veterans and the freedoms that they provide, and to also honor those that have protected our freedoms by paying the ultimate sacrifice. Last year over 3,000 veterans were in attendance for the once in a lifetime Vietnam Veterans "Welcome Home" parade where over 20,000 spectators payed their respect to those in attendance and to those who have fallen.

The Layton Commons Parks' large shade trees and winding sidewalks provide a perfect backdrop and venue for such a large car show. Over 50 vendors selling everything from candles, to t-shirts and collectibles will be available during the show. Plenty of food vendors will also be on hand to satisfy your BBQ cravings or sweet tooth. While you're there be sure to stop by Smoke-a-Billy BBQ for the most incredible, melt in your mouth award winning BBQ.

Thousands of dollars' worth of guns and additional items will be raffled off to raise money for our military and veterans. Along with the raffles, there will be a large art auction with incredible one-of-a-kind custom items from some of the area's best pinstripers and Rat Fink artists.

One of the highlights of the day that will be sure to please will be the family friendly "Miss Sounds of Freedom" Pinup Contest being hosted by the Pin Me Up One Stop Shop. Ladies dressed in 40's and 50's era pinup style attire complete with hair and makeup, will compete for your attention and prizes. Those interested in participating in the pin up contest can find more information and contest rules at http://www.pinmeuputah.com/events.html
