'77 Chevy Nova

This is my 'in progress' Nova. It's nearly stock and original. The motor is the factory 350/4bbl. that's been updated a bit with stainless headers and exhaust, new intake, carb, distributor, 4 core aluminum radiator. The car is well optioned with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, 'deluxe' velour interior, bucket seats and floor shift console. The car makes a fun daily driver and fun road car. It handles exceptionally well on the freeway, roll the windows down, the kick on the cruise control and turn up the radio. I have lots of changes planned but for now it's still mostly stock. Decided to upload a couple of updated photos of it.* Be sure to scroll down for the latest updates ** Update April 2019 **It's been awhile since I've updated the blogs so I've uploaded a few current photos of the car.I've gone through the interior and have replaced nearly everything...

Big Sister

We call this 1951 Cadillac the Big Sister to the Red Sled because this one is the Coupe DeVille model, the Red Sled is the Two door Hardtop model. She had been in hybernation in a Bakersfield garage for over 10 years. The previous owner had put it in the garage after the transmission went out on him. The car was towed 1500 miles to Oklahoma City and that's where the make over took place. Dad re-upholstered the interior himself. All new carpet, headliner, door panels and seats. The exterior was done as well. It started out two toned, Tan top with black bottom. It is now a metallic gray. The car is totally stock. She has dual glass pack exhaust, and she will talk to you. When you get Big Sister and Red Sled out together, they draw a crowd.

A Cow Pasture Special

Here is an old "Farm Truck" I stumbled across when I was in Guthrie. The previous owner had another truck he was using and he had put this one out to pasture. It is a 68 Chevy C/10. Its was the base model with 6 cylinder 261 engine, and the old granny 4 speed standard transmission.   In 1968, that was the 50th anniversary for Chevrolet trucks.  So I decided it would be nice to do this up as an Anniversary model. I had a 327 engine lying around so I built it up to a Corvette spec, 350 horse 327, then put a Turbo 400 trans. behind it. For the interior, it was done in gold and brown with some gold hounds tooth seats. For the exterior, it is painted Anniversary Gold and white. I put on some wood grain side trim and wood grain bed rail trim as well....

Santa's Little Red Sled

Here is another one we found in a pasture. A 1951 Cadillac 2 door hardtop. She was being auctioned off in an estate sale. No one had any idea how long it had been sitting dormant, and apparently there was no one there that knew anything about cars, because they never could get it to run. She sold for $350 dollars. We Drug her home, put a hot battery in her, gas in the carburetor, and she fired right up. So for the next six months, we worked on bringing her back to life. The engine run so good it didn't any work there, just took the ole girl down and had a set of dual exhaust put on her. Then back into our shop for some sprucing up. The interior got black roll and pleat seat, new door panels, head liner, and carpet through out the car. Next we put...
