***** IMPORTANT CHANGES *****
Here's a list of Frequently Asked Questions that we've received over the last few days. If you have a question in regards to the 2020 Cruise-In that you don't see listed here, please comment your question and we will update our post with your question and the answer so anyone else with that same question can also know the answer. Thank you all for your support during this difficult time!
* What events are still being held this year?
The only portion of the show that will be held this year is the parade. Everything else, including the concert, is cancelled due to COVID-19.
* When is the Parade?
Due to the parade being the only event of the 2020 Cruise-In, and in cooperation with Logan City’s requests for the police presence, the parade will be held on Friday July 3rd from 6:00pm-8:00pm. It will be on Main Street from Center Street to 1400 North.
* What is the Parade?
For those who have never seen the Cruise-In Parade, it can better be described as a Drive By Car Show. No candy (or other objects) can be thrown, and all participants must be seated in a vehicle (no walking alongside vehicles). It is not what you typically think of when you think of a parade, but it is often considered a parade because we get the permit to close the street down so participants can cruise without “Daily Drivers” or having to stop at street lights. Cars drive in both lanes north for the 14 blocks of the parade route, at which point both lanes flip a U-turn and head south again. Participants are allowed to do this as long as they wish, up until 8:00 at which point the road is opened back up to local traffic and all traffic laws must be obeyed.
* How do I enter my car in the parade?
To enter your car in the parade you need to come to the fairgrounds Friday, July 3 between 12:00 noon and 5:30 pm. The registration fee is $10.00 per car. This fee will help cover the cost of the permit and insurance required by the state. Participants will receive a Parade Sticker that is placed inside their windshield, which allows them entrance onto the parade route.
* Why hold the parade but not any of the other events of the Cruise-In?
COVID-19 or not, the 2020 Cruise-In is still Cruisin’! In discussing options with local leaders and the health department, a decision was reached that current restrictions would not allow for the other events to be held. There are too many places where people gather and social distancing would not be possible, including but not limited to: admission gates, vendor booth lines, restroom lines, the entirety of the Leann Rimes concert, the award ceremony, and the car giveaway. It was decided that a parade could still be held because each spectator family/group can distance themselves from the group next to them.
* I already registered my car to bring it to the show - can I get a refund?
Those who have registered will have the option to receive a refund or to hold their spot for the 2021 Cruise-In. Letters have already been mailed out containing detailed information regarding how to proceed.
* I bought concert tickets - How do I get a refund?
- If you purchased your tickets through Lee’s Marketplace, you will have to take your ticket back to Lee’s Marketplace to get a refund.
- If you purchased your ticket online, the refund has already been processed and you should see the money back on your card soon.
* I have a hotel reservation - how do I get a refund?
Hotel reservations will have to be worked out with each individual hotel as they are out of our hands.
* I reserved/paid for a spot to camp at the Fairgrounds. Do I get a refund?
You will have the option to have your money refunded or to hold your spot for the 2021 show.
* I still want to camp at the Fairgrounds that week. Is that possible?
Yes. You can still camp at the Fairgrounds, there is still a fee which will be collected by Cache County (Fairgrounds).
* Will the car still be given away?
No, The 1923 Ford T-Bucket Roadster will become the giveaway car for the 2021 show. The car is given away based off a number match from admission tickets, so without admission tickets to the car show, this is not possible.
