<p>Jeff Burton claimed his first victory at Bristol Motor Speedway Sunday, getting past Denny Hamlin in a two-lap sprint to win the Food City 500.</p><p>Burton's Chevrolet led a 1-2-3 sweep for Richard Childress Racing at BMS, as teammates Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer finished second and third, respectively. It was the first sweep of the top three finishes in RCR history.</p> |

<p>Dale Jarrett's 668th Sprint Cup start will be one he'll never forget.</p><p>The former NASCAR Sprint Car champion was honored prior to the start of Sunday's Food City 500, the final points race of his career. Jarrett, a former winner in both the Cup and Nationwide Series at the World's Fastest Half-Mile, took to the stage during pre-race ceremonies to receive several gifts from Bristol Motor Speedway to commemorate his last start at BMS.</p> |

<p>Darrell Waltrip has long thought about adding a car from his 1981-1982 championship seasons to his collection and on Sunday before the sold-out Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, that dream was realized.</p><p>Much to the surprise of the three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, Waltrip was presented with the No. 11 Mountain Dew Buick Regal he drove during his back-to-back championship seasons during pre-race ceremonies. During those two title years, the 61-year-old Waltrip, now a television analyst for FOX, captured 24 checkered flags, nabbing 12 in 1981 and picking up another dozen in 1982. </p> |
