4th ANNUAL RIDE FOR RECOVERY 2008

Hello, September 2008, we celebrate the 19th annual National Alcohol Prevention and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. The month is set aside to educate the public that addiction is a treatable disease that affects us all, spotlights the success of prevention, treatment and recovery, and honors the millions of individual’s worldwide living in recovery. This year’s theme is, “Join the Voices for Recovery: Real People, Real Recovery”. 2008 also marks the fourth year we will be holding Ride for Recovery, and in addition this year Car Clubs with Vintage Cars for this family celebration. United for Recovery respectfully invites your participation in a major public alcohol and drug awareness event; involving a short motorcycle ride and an opportunity to showcase your vintage cars in celebration of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. This event will be held at Harbor Regional Park, Saturday September 27, 2008. A large number of motorcyclists and vintage car owners today are young adults and baby boomers. “Ride for Recovery” is a setting to share with these groups the message that recovery does happen, and that life in recovery is an exciting journey! It is also an excellent opportunity for your car club to come out show your beautiful cars and become part of this event this year and in the future. This is a family event with 50’s music, food, vendor booths, and more. We are expecting many riders and vintage car owners to participate in this event; and numerous attendees and families who do not ride will also be present. Thank you for your consideration.
